Data You Enter
Swim Workouts stores app language, default pool length, and pool units as Garmin app settings. The app does not ask for a personal swim profile.
Hosted FIT Downloads
When you press Sync, Swim Workouts can contact the configured HTTPS host for a FIT workout file. The hosting provider may process standard request metadata such as IP address, request time, user agent/proxy metadata, and requested file path.
How Workout Content Is Stored
The app asks the Garmin runtime to parse and store downloaded FIT workout content on the device. Garmin persisted workout content is managed by the device and Garmin software.
Permissions
Swim Workouts requests Garmin Connect IQ Communications to download hosted FIT files and PersistedContent to access Garmin persisted workout content returned by the import path.
Network Access
Swim Workouts uses network access for hosted FIT workout downloads initiated by the user.
Pool Swim Flow
After a workout is saved, Garmin Pool Swim records the session through Garmin's standard workout flow.
Data Sharing
Swim Workouts keeps app preferences on the Garmin app settings side. If a developer-operated or third-party host is used for FIT files, that host may receive standard web request metadata during downloads.
Deleting Data
Remove imported workouts using the Garmin device or Garmin software flows available for workouts on your device. Uninstalling the app removes app-managed code and resources, but Garmin-managed workout content may need to be removed separately.
